Background
Over 20 Years of Dental Experience
Balraj Dhami, commonly known as Raj, qualified from Manchester Dental School with BDS Honours in 2003, and completed his vocational training in North Manchester in 2004. In 2012, Raj attained a Masters with Distinction in Restorative Dental Practice from the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute and University College London.
Raj became a principal dentist at a mixed NHS and Private practice in central Birmingham in 2010, and a predominantly private practice in Sutton Coldfield in 2015. Raj has been practising as an NHS and private dentist for over 20 years.
Raj currently works in general practice undertaking both NHS and private dental work, alongside his dental expert witness work.
Current Roles:
Non-executive member of Birmingham LDC since 2013.
Clinical Advisor for NHS England
- Dental Clinical Advisor, working alongside the complaint management and contracts teams in the LAT, assessing complaints and performance management.
- Performers List Decision Panel (PLDP) member, assessing suitability of performers to be retained on performers list when clinical or probity issues arise.
Clinical Advisor for Denplan, as part as their Denplan Excel accreditation scheme.
- Clinical Advisor, working alongside the Denplan Excel accreditation team to assess applications for Denplan Excel status.
- Reviewing practice protocols and policies.
- Record card reviews and record keeping assessments.
